2008 October > Georgetown Legion Ladies Auxiliary
Georgetown Legion Branch 120 Ladies Auxillary Celebrated their 80th Anniversary on September 20th with a Reception, Dinner, Honours and Awards presentations and live entertainment. The Ladies Auxiliary was formed on September 28th, 1928, within just few just months of Branch 120 being formed. The Ladies Auxillary currently has a membership of 100 and they are actively seeking out new members. Both Legion President Ray Clark and Auxiliary President Marion Carney had nothing but kind words for each others organization and it was made clear that there is a very close working relationship that has existed for long time. It was stated that this dinner had one of the largest turnouts in recent memory, this was in large part to representatives that came from other branches far and wide. In the end it was generally agreed that the whole evening was an enormous success by all that attended!
