2008 October > Acton Terry Fox Run

The annual Terry Fox Run Marathon of Hope continues to raise money and awareness for Terry's dream of helping to conquer cancer. The event is staged at Acton High School and this year had the benefit of the new rubber track surface. Councillor Jon Hurst gave an inspiring speech to the eager crowd who gathered early on Sunday morning while Helen Jocques, member of the Acton Citizen of the Year's Lakeside Chapter of the IODE, cut the ribbon to get the race started.
