2008 October > Acton Quarry Open House
Dufferin Aggregates Site Manager Rob McDougall and Property Manager Andrea Bourrie welcomed the community to the annual open house held at the Acton Quarry. The event allows neighbors to visit the site and meet the operators while children and parents got up on the extremely large construction equipment. As Andrea mentioned before the door prize draws - the Acton Quarry is one of the largest in Canada and it's important materials help to build homes, schools, roads and Community Arenas. Everyone had a chance to enjoy the breakfast, face painting, temporary tattoos, the Conservation Halton birds of prey and the giant sandbox.
