2008 October > United Way of Halton Hills The United Way of Halton Hills has set a goal to raise over $300,000 during the 2008 Campaign and the many generous sponsors and attendees at the 10th Annual President's Ball hoped to do their part to help the Charity - last year's event raised over $14,000. President Ron Stitt, Executive Director Janet Foster and Campaign Chair Chris Cooke were joined by many fantastic volunteers like Tania Spill and Nancy Murray who put on a schedule of events that included a silent auction, a live auction by Auctioneer Norm Webster and entertainment by Rolly Rocker & The Hemi Heads. The auction items were donated by the local community such as Boston Pizza and Acton's Giant Tiger. Over 100 attendees also enjoyed a gourmet dinner at the splendid facilities of the North Halton Golf & Country Club.
